Transfer From Blogger to Self Hosted Word Press

Hey Guys! So many of you know that I just recently transferred from Blogger to self hosted Word Press. I did a lot of research and a lot of talking to different people before I finally decided to make the move. I was so nervous, anxious and excited all at the same time! At first I thought of trying to do it on my own but I quickly became overwhelmed and decided against it. Not that it isn't doable but I just didn't have the confidence in myself to get it correctly. So I hired Jacqui from Wacky Jacqui Designs to do my transfer for me, Jacqui did an AMAZING job and I am completely blown away but how awesome my blog looks now, she was in constant contact with me and had great communication and follow up skills! Her site is so easy to navigate and she clearly lays out the prices for her services and what all is included for that specific price. I didn't have to question, wonder or guess about any of that. If you are thinking of moving from Blogger to Word Press I HIGHLY recommend … [Read more...]

Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. Walgreens has a new amazing and very benefical plan that everyone can take advantage of. Walgreens Prescription Savings Club offers a discount on an annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club. For $10 a year your entire immediate family is covered, including dependents aged 22 and younger and even your pets! Individuals may join for $5. During these times with rising health care costs it's great to have a company offer a program that really helps people to maximize their savings and reward them at the same time! I know personally I dread when one of my kiddos comes down with something, of course my main concern is their overall well-being and wishing I could take away their pain. But somewhere in the back of my mind I am stressing about how much money I am going to have to spend on medicine to help them recover faster. Now that Walgreens has this program I no … [Read more...]

Protective Styling: Week 1

Hello Lovelies :) Jordyn is participating in Kandy's Protective Style Challenge from Jan. 19 through March 19 so sit back, buckle up and enjoy a weekly update of our protective styles. So here is week one's style: To begin section off a small section of hair in the front from ear to ear. Using hair ties make four separate ponytails going horizontally. Connect each ponytail with the next ponytail. You should be left with one ponytail on the side of the head. You can twist or braid that ponytail and leave it be for now. For the back section of hair section it off in half so that you have two sections of hair. Use those two sections to create two mini buns, you can then take that side ponytail from the front and connect it one of your buns.       She acted like she couldn't take her eyes off her game for 2 seconds for a  pic! Enjoy! … [Read more...]

Glasses USA

I have been wearing glasses since the 8th grade (aged 13) I first started out with these huge purple glasses see: Hey they were fashionable back then and purple was my favorite color! Since then I've of course upgraded the style of my prescription glasses to these specs I actually like the way eyeglasses look on me, I think they fit my face perfectly. Although after wearing my current pair for about 2 1/2 years I am ready for a change! I am on the hunt for a new pair of cheap eyeglasses because having 2 kiddos, a household, and a hubby buying expensive eyeglasses just won't work for our budget. I recently heard about they offer high quality frames and lenses with a 110% lowest price guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee along with a great refer-a-friend program. They even have a special offer going on right now: Take 20% off your entire order of $80 or more and get FREE US shipping with the code: FS20 Take 10% off any order of prescription … [Read more...]

Do You Dust? Dusting the ends of your hair

I recently began focusing on Jordyn's ends more and "dusting" them more often. I would say I dust her ends at least once a week or once every two weeks. Her hair tends to split easily at the ends I've noticed and to help control this, dusting is a great method. Dusting your ends or sometimes called search & destroy involves grabbing a small section of hair and looking for split or damaged ends and cutting them using hair shears right before the point of the split and/or damage. I take a section of about 10-15 strands of hair and go through that section and look for the damaged ends. You will not lose any length by doing this method as you are merely cutting the split end, this method is great to catch split ends or damaged ends before they travel up the hair shaft and cause further damage to your hair. This is also a great alternative to cutting your hair and can help you in between trims. This method can be used on all hair types, curly, kinky, coily, wavy, or straight! I … [Read more...]

Cornrows and ponytails

Style: Cornrows and ponytails Here is a new style I did for Jordyn that lasted us a whole week, woo-hoo! To start section off a section in the front of the head from ear to ear. Make a vertical part within that section and create two ponytails. You can then twist or braid the remaining loose hair in each ponytail. For the back section create medium sized cornrows all going in the same direction to one side of the head. Secure each cornrow with a small black rubber band. Twist the loose remaining hair in small/medium size individual twists.     Enjoy! … [Read more...]
