Hey Guys,
Fact about Tiffany: I am a reader, yep it’s true I love to curl up with a good book like ALL the time. I’ve been into reading since I was kid, back then it used to be Goosebumps and Sweet Valley High books
Now as an adult I enjoy all kinds of genres and books.
Now you may have noticed that I’ve never once posted a book review on my site, why you might ask? Well because most books I read aren’t really approperiate for a review on my family friendly site, not that I am reading bad stuff but they are more adult as in topics, language and so on. Also I never wanted to get too much into reviewing books because it just opens the door for everyone to throw a book your way to review and I’m actually quite picky in what I read, I have to be interested to spend my time reading a book and then reviewing it on my site.
So with that said I was recently contacted by an author, Bella Forest to review her debut book, A Shade Of Vampire.
Page Count: 150
Release Date: Dec. 14, 2012
Author: Bella Forest
Description:
On the evening of Sofia Claremont’s seventeenth birthday, she is sucked
into a nightmare from which she cannot wake. A quiet evening walk along a beach brings her face to face with a dangerous pale creature that craves much more than her blood.
She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine.
An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire
coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains.
Sofia’s life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one
selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the
dark royal Prince.
Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia
soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters,
and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive
even one more night.
Will she succeed? …or is she destined to the same fate that all other
girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?
My Thoughts:
I enjoyed the book, I loved the detailed description of the sights, smells, sounds and scenery. I could so picture it all in my mind, I loved how the book went back and forth in first person (point of view) from Sofia and Derek. I did feel the book was a bit rushed through though and I would have would loved a little more of an expansion or more detail on certain topics briefly mentioned in the book. I love the concept of the book and how the main character Sofia was so strong willed and had a mind of her own. This is not your typical sappy love story, but I will say that certain areas within the book did remind me of other books/movies/TV shows that were or are currently out now, which I personally didn’t mind because I felt the book is a stand out on it’s own due to the uniqueness of the plot.
A little birdie told me that there is a part two of the book coming soon and I can’t wait to read it because the ending of this book leaves you wanting more!

Disclaimer: I received a copy of the ebook free of charge for the purpose of this review, however as always my thoughts and opinions remain my own.

I am not fond of reading books because I can’t ever seem to let my mind concentrate of just the book. I am always making lists and wondering what other stuff I need to be doing. But, this sounds like an interesting book. Thanks for sharing.
