Check Out My New Ink (3 New Tattoos)

Hey Guys!

So if you didn’t know already I love tattoos, I have about 7 of them now. But let me give you a little background on some of them first.

My first ever tattoo is of this little guy

 butterfly

I was 16 when I got this butterfly tattoo on my back (shoulder blade) it used to be cute and full of color, but over the years the color faded and it just turned into something that I didn’t like anymore. I had planned on covering it up for years but for no reason in particular I just never got around to doing it. So last weekend I found a new tattoo artist and went had this covered up along with some other work done.

Here is what now covers that little sad butterfly

 hummingbird

This pretty little black and grey hummingbird :) I love it! it’s so pretty; I loved it so much I got it twice!

 back

I had another hummingbird added to my other shoulder blade. The two birds represent my two little kiddos I have. I choose the hummingbird because they are not only pretty birds but they represent joy and peace and I love that. The two Chinese characters on my back mean “God” and “Love” and I plan on getting one more that says “Family” and those three things represent the most important things in my life :)

The other tattoo I want to talk about is this one:

 before

The dreaded name tattoo (as some people say) dun-dun-dun!!! This is actually the name of my husband, and yes we are still currently happily married actually. (Our 7th wedding anniversary is on 04/07) :) I got this tattoo ten years ago, my hubby who was at the time just my live-in boyfriend came home one night with a tattoo of my name in heart on his back and the next day I rushed out and got his name so we could match and be twinies :) I put no thought into this tattoo at all! Isn’t it so obvious?!?!

So I actually never really liked this tattoo it looked kind gaudy or ghetto, depending on you ask. So I opted to cover it up and I did so with this:

 lotus flower

A beautiful lotus flower :) I am really happy with this tattoo and my decision to cover the name up. Now you might be wondering what the hubby thought of this right? Well don’t fret my friends I got another tattoo to honor my hubby and this one is way cooler than that plain ole’ Jane name before.

My new tattoo is called an ambigram and it looks like this:

 tiffany

It says my name “Tiffany” when my arm is up this way, but when I turn my arm down it reads….

 justin

Justin” my husband’s name. it’s kinda hard to see in this pic as I was taking it by myself and I obviously am not great at multi-tasking : / Holding the camera and arm certain ways just wasn’t working for me. But I hope you guys can see it.

I’ve gotten so many compliments on this one especially; everyone thinks it’s pretty cool :)

What do you guys think of my new ink?

  1. I love how the one on your arm is your name one and his name the other. Very cool! Nice tattoos, I love that they all mean or represent something/someone special :)
