Flat Twist Design On Natural Hair

SAM_3768

Hey Guys! Today's post is a quick and simple flat twist design on natural hair that I did on Jordyn. So let's get started: Part the hair hortizonally from ear to ear Take the first top section and do your flat twists, I did about 8-9 I didn't use any rubber bands to hold the twists, I just twisted all the way down. Once I finished each individual twist I gathered all the flat twist and split them into two section to make one big two strand twist to the left side of her head and rolled and bobby pinned the loose twists into a bun. For the back section of hair Imade two ponytails with two strand twists.     That's it guys! Quick and easy and cute! Enjoy! … [Read more...]

Flat Twist Updo on Natural Hair

IMG303

Hey Guys! I am so late in sharing this style :( but better than never sharing right?! Right! :) So here is how Jordyn wore her hair for Thanksgiving day. I wanted something sort of fancy but something that didn't take too long to do, I came up with this number. I started by parting her hair horizontally from ear to ear and the back half I had four separate ponytails that connected upwards to the crown of her head. For the top half of the head I did a free style flat twist design and then I did a simple two strand twist for all the loose hair remaining, added a few sponge rollers to curl the ends and that's it!  After a few hours (probably around 3) I took the sponge rollers out and undid the two strand twists for a twist out :)   This style lasted us a week and I used our Blended Beauty products to achieve the look. The Braided Twist: Protective Style

Lately it has been unusually cold here in So Cal so I wanted to give the diva a cute protective style and this popped into my head.I started with the take down of this style (which by the way lasted for a whole week yay)Next I sectioned the hair in three sectionsTwo sections in the back and one half in the front. I then made three cornrows on each side to meet in the middle of the two back sections of hair and then freestyled the cornrows on the top half of the head to all meet towards the middle.I rubber band the 2 ponytails at a time together and then two strand twisted each ponytailI could have left it like this for a mohawk do' but I opted to make little rosettes out of the twists and pinned them with bobby pinsThe diva said she will wear her hair like this for 5 days then she'll wear it out like a mohawk. (I guess she told me huh?)Anyhoo I used Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Coconut Oil and water from my spray bottle to get this lookEnjoy! … [Read more...]
