New sunglasses, Summer Ready | Discount Glasses

**This is a sponsored post, however as always all comments and thoughts are my own.**   Hello there! Summer is upon us guys and for me and all my fellow glasses wearing folks that doesn't exactly spell a great time for outdoor activities if you don't have a pair of prescription sunglasses. Every year I tell myself I am going to save a little extra money so that I can buckled down and finally buy myself a nice pair so I am not stuck squinting and shielding my eyes from the sun. But every year something else comes up and luck isn't on my side and my prescription sunglass dreams never come true. Until now! Luckily the clouds parted and luck was dropped off in my email inbox from a wonderful company called Discount Glasses. Discount Glasses offers both eyeglasses and sunglasses and their sister site Discount Contact Lenses offers, well contact lenses! I love that the wait to receive your glasses was hardly no time at all. When I received them they came with a nice case, … [Read more...]

DIY | Earring Holder

Hello There! In today's post I will show you guys how to make this easy and inexpensive DIY | Earring Holder. Materials Needed: Glue Gun Glue Sticks Wooden Sticks Picture Frame Plastic Grid Spray Paint Now I already had the glue gun, glue sticks and spray paint on hand. So I went out and purchased the picture frames from the Dollar Tree, the wooden sticks from Wal Mart, I think they were around $2.97 for the pack. I picked up the plastic grid from Michael's for $0.79. Let's get started! First start by removing the back of your picture frame and the glass as well. Take your frame to a well ventilated area and spray paint it any color of your choice, or don't spray paint. You can leave it as it if you want to! Once your frame is dry, take a pair of pliers and remove the hardware Then you'll take your plastic grid and lay it onto of your picture frame so you can visually see and mark off with a pen if needed, where to cut your plastic grid so … [Read more...]

DIY | Bed Canopy

Hey Guys! I am back with another DIY project. This project is a DIY bed canopy for Jordyn's bed, part of her room makeover. I searched the internet for bed canopies and found some on amazon for $15-$30. There was no way I was going to pay that much for a piece of thin sheer material. I knew I could make it for much cheaper. So I set out to the stores to gather up all my materials. To get started you will need the following: 1 pair of sheer curtains ($3.49 Ikea) Quilting Hoop ($2.49 Wal Mart) White grosgrain ribbon ($0.99 Wal Mart) Scissors (had on hand) Lighter (had on hand) Ceiling hook ($1.49 Wal Mart) Total Cost: $6.97 First I started out by slipping both sheer curtain panels onto my quilting hoop. I bought my curtains from Ikea and they were on sale for $3.49. Next I took a long piece of my white ribbon and tied knots on each end of the hoop to secure the ribbon in place. Then I cut small holes in each sheer curtain panel and then took … [Read more...]

Check Out My New Ink (3 New Tattoos)

Hey Guys! So if you didn't know already I love tattoos, I have about 7 of them now. But let me give you a little background on some of them first. My first ever tattoo is of this little guy   I was 16 when I got this butterfly tattoo on my back (shoulder blade) it used to be cute and full of color, but over the years the color faded and it just turned into something that I didn't like anymore. I had planned on covering it up for years but for no reason in particular I just never got around to doing it. So last weekend I found a new tattoo artist and went had this covered up along with some other work done. Here is what now covers that little sad butterfly   This pretty little black and grey hummingbird :) I love it! it's so pretty; I loved it so much I got it twice!   I had another hummingbird added to my other shoulder blade. The two birds represent my two little kiddos I have. I choose the hummingbird because they are not only pretty birds but they … [Read more...]

The below content is sponsored by Sanofi Pasteur’s Headfirst! Expert Advice on Lice campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.   It’s almost that time again! The back to school season is just around the corner, and with that comes preparing for a new teacher, a new classroom and a new year.   One thing that parents may not prepare for is … head lice! The truth of the matter is, head lice are common and can happen to any child. An estimated 6 to 12 million infestations occur each year in the U.S., which means many parents are likely to experience firsthand how lice can impact their children, families or friends.   Unfortunately, head lice are common in elementary schools – about one out of every 100 elementary school children becomes infested. Many parents may not know where to turn for accurate information.   Now here’s the good news: there is a website available to provide you … [Read more...]
