New sunglasses, Summer Ready | Discount Glasses

**This is a sponsored post, however as always all comments and thoughts are my own.**   Hello there! Summer is upon us guys and for me and all my fellow glasses wearing folks that doesn't exactly spell a great time for outdoor activities if you don't have a pair of prescription sunglasses. Every year I tell myself I am going to save a little extra money so that I can buckled down and finally buy myself a nice pair so I am not stuck squinting and shielding my eyes from the sun. But every year something else comes up and luck isn't on my side and my prescription sunglass dreams never come true. Until now! Luckily the clouds parted and luck was dropped off in my email inbox from a wonderful company called Discount Glasses. Discount Glasses offers both eyeglasses and sunglasses and their sister site Discount Contact Lenses offers, well contact lenses! I love that the wait to receive your glasses was hardly no time at all. When I received them they came with a nice case, … [Read more...]

DIY Easy Sew Clutch Purse Project

Hey guys! So I bought myself a Singer Sewing Machine last summer in the hopes of learning how to sew clothes for my kids and occasionally myself. I made a pretty cool summer dress for Jordyn, (I'll make a post on that later) and then I came across a really cool DIY easy sew clutch project/tutorial that was posted on Mimi G's website.  Unfortunately the tutorial is no longer posted, as it was a limited time only posting, so I can't share a link with you but I did want to show off my finished result What I learned from this project: Disclaimer: This is my second ever sewing project I've done. The corner to the left in the picture where the zipper is, it's kinda stuff inside meaning I sewed up to high and I need to correct it and pick up the seams cause it's bugging me. Also I used a suede-like material for my corners in red the tutorial used felt but I wanted something a little more fancy :) By doing this I learned that suede-like material frays :( So if I use this … [Read more...]

Hey Guys, Springtime is almost here, and you know that means right?!?!? Well for some it may mean Spring Cleaning, or gardening or Spring Break planning, but for me it means shopping time! Time to update the household's wardrobe with a few new fun colorful light pieces to match the loveliness outside! For my kiddos I got my start on their Spring wardrobe at Cookie's Kids this was my first time ever shopping on their site and I must tell I went in with eyes wide open, I wasn't sure what to expect. To say I was pleasantly pleased would be an understatement, they have the most extensive and awesome selection of clothes ever!!! Cookie's Kids offers a wide range of clothing, shoes and accessories from many designers for both boys and girls. The company started in 1972 when Cookie and his brother Marvin went into business together. They started with a rented 1600 square foot store in Jamaica, Queens. Take A Chance on Color with No nonsense

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. If I had to describe my fashion style in one word it would be evolving I really wanted to say ever-evolving but that would have been two words :) I am by no means a fashion expert or anything like that but I do have a passion for it, I try to keep some what up to date on the latest trends. I like to wear what makes me look good and feels comfortable all at the same time.  I've been wearing leggings for awhile now, a couple of years at least. A great pair of comfortable stylish leggings can dress up any outfit. No nonsense tights and leggings are a great buy! They are not only comfy and stylish but they are of high quality and are very well made!  Check out my Christmas day 2012 outfit: Black Tank Top Sparkly Gray Sweater No nonsense Black Leggings Black Ankle Boots These leggings are by far the best pair I have in my closet! The tummy control on … [Read more...]

Half Up Half Down: Christmas Hairstyle

Hey Guys! I have been on a little mini vacation from work  for the last six days, and it's been great! I've neglected the blog a little, sorry about that! But I am back sharing with you guys how Jordyn wore her hair for Christmas 2012. We did a Half Up Half Down Christmas Hairstyle Her hair was already previously straightened so I opted for simple style.   I started with a side part and grabbed small sections of hair around the hairline and rolled then up upward (not tightly) into a rolling twist and then I secured the two ends to back of her head with a small black rubber band and added a festive hair clip! I curled the ends with a curling iron, but you can achieve the same look with rollers. I was pressed for time so I had to use the curling iron, otherwise I would have used rollers. And here is her Christmas Outfit   Top (Christmas gift from last year) Tights (gifted by a friend) Shoes (Walmart $8)   … [Read more...]

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CENTURY 21 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. I live in a state that many people would love to live in or even visit for time to time, California. Yep born and raised here, it's a great state with great weather, but you know where I dream of visiting and wish I could live there if I could afford too: New York! Ah yes the "Big Apple" oh how I would love to experience the hustle and bustle of that city, see the sights, do all of the tourist-y things and of course shop! I recently learned about this amazing store that I am dying to visit! Century 21 They offer everything from clothing for men, women and kids to decor for your home. You can sign up to be a member for FREE and take advantage their "member only deals" that occur for a limited time, how awesome is that? Wet n Wild + Essie = Cool Fall nail colors

Hey there! I started with a bottle of Wet n Wild Megalast  in Under Your Spell, I spotted a coupon in my local Sunday paper for $1 off so I headed out to Rite Aid on my lunch break and found it for $1.99 so I paid $0.99. :) It has a Manicurve Pro Brush or as I call it a flat brush with makes the strokes of polish glide on in about 2-3 strokes. I already had on hand a bottle of Essie's Good As Gold decided to add a zebra stripe effect. This is my go to design because it's easy and quick and I've pretty much mastered it at this point :) Here are the results:    Please ignore the small chip on my index finger (if you are anal like myself then you've noticed it) which is why I am typing my disclaimer. This is actually day of 4 wearing this polish, darn me for not getting a pic on day 1 : /  The design came out perfectly minus my smudge of a stroke of clear top coat. I suppose the Essie wasn't dry enough yet before I applied my top coat and guess … [Read more...]

Oasap: Retro Chic Black Onyx Ring Review

If you guys know anything about me at all, you'll know that I love fashion and bargains. I think accessories set the mood for an entire outfit or complete a look if you will. I was so excited when I was introduced to Oasap and their fashion hunters program after browsing their site and making a list of items I knew I had to have in my wardrobe I stumbled upon this little beauty. This gorgeous ring is a Retro Chic Black Onyx Ring  Size: Diameter: 1.8cm Color: black Fabric: Metal Washing: 40 degree machine wash, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, cool iron on reverse, do not dry clean. The ring fit my finger like glove, it is a solid but not a  heavy piece of jewelry. I love the antique retro feel and old style it has. This ring is perfect with so many outfits I have in my closet. I recently wore it to a friend's suprise 30th birthday bash and people at the party loved my ring :) What do you think of the Retro Chic Black Onyx Ring? Oasap offers … [Read more...]
