Flat Twist Out on 4a Natural Hair

Hey Guys! I decided to try a twist out on Jordyn's hair, in the past when I've tried this style I haven't been so successful woomp woomp :(   For this style I started with freshly washed and conditioned hair, I moisturized with Blended Beauty's Silk Shake and then sealed with a little Darcy's Botantical Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Conditioning Oil I made a total of 7-8 twists and let then air dry overnight     Jordyn has major shrinkage, while stretched or straightened her hair is around arm pit length but in it's natural unstretched state it's way shorter :) We pinned up the sides and left out a little side bang :) Enjoy! … [Read more...]

Hey Guys! Jalen recently decided to grow his hair again and have his curls, at first I thought oh cool, I love his curls! Then I though man now he is going to be using up my hair products again lol. But luck must have been on my side because shortly after I was contacted by Blended Beauty to do a review of two of their products. Stacey is so wonderful to work with she picked up two awesome products that I love. If you'll recall I did a review on two other products from Blended Beauty that worked great! This time around I was sent Curly Frizz Pudding   From the website: A soft hold moisturizing gel lotion that defines and conditions curls, while nourishing the scalp and hair. Begin creating small size individual twists until all the hair is twisted up.  Let the twists sit either overnight for full definition or at least for a few hours. Flat Twist Out with Perm Rods

I wanted to try something different for Christmas this year so I found this cute style done by MsDanti1 on youtube. I started this style on freshly washed and deep conditioned hair using Ouidad Shampoo and Aussie Moist 3 Min. Miracle Deep Conditioner. I had two rows of flat twists going from ear to ear in the front of my head going forward, all remaining flat twists on the sides and in the back were going downward (vertical). I used Blended Beauty's Curl Styling Butter (Review Coming Soon) and sealed with Coconut Oil. I also used two different sized perm rods on the ends to curl them, thinking that if I used bigger rods in the back I wouldn't have so much shrinkage and I could wear it all down. Well.............Not so much I looked like I had a Jheri curl (Granted it isn't fluffed to it's full potential but in any case I wasn't feeling it) So I pinned it all up and to the side and added a cute bow I purchased at Mocha Rose Creations Here is the finished … [Read more...]
