DIY | Two-Tier Plant Stand

Hey guys!

In today’s post, I’m going to show you how to make a DIY two-tier plant stand.

Plant Stand

First up, the materials list:

  • 4 pieces of 1×1 wood
  • 2 circular wood pieces
  • 8 L-shaped brackets
  • 8 screws
  • stain
  • paint
  • polyacrylic or polyurethane

I had some scrap wood laying around and attempted to cut out two circles, however, they came out a little wonky so I headed over to Joann’s and purchased to precut wood pieces, using a 40% off coupon on one of the wood pieces of course.

Circular wood

Next up, the wood circles were stained in the color dark walnut. Then the wood was sealed with two coats of polyurethane.

The legs were painted white with chalk paint and sealed with two coats of polyacrylic.

Using my tape measurer I measured three inches down from the top of the wood legs.

For the bottom, I measured seven inches up and repeated the same steps of marking and drilling the holes.

DIY Plant StandOnce the holes were drilled, the L-shaped brackets were set in place. The tape measurer was used again to make sure everything lined up.

DIY Plant Stand Time to move on to the wood circles. First measure across to find the center of the circles. Then mark four holes to drill.

Now it’s time to put it all together. Just attach your wood circles to the wooden legs using the L-shaped brackets and screws and you’re done!

Here is the finished product, my stand measures at 3 feet tall.
